What's the Problem?

Childhood obesity is a growing concern. Being overweight and obese are the results of what is known as "caloric imbalance" or too few calories expended for the amount of calories consumed. Awareness of being overweight or obese is the first step to becoming healthier.

In 2010, more than one third of children and adolescents were overweight and obese.

Childhood obesity has more than doubled in children and tripled in adolescents in the past 30 years.
